I’m turning 26 this year and I think I’m getting a little old for the whole ‘loud as fuck exhaust with a big bore tip’ deal. I plan on re-doing my entire exhaust, custom style with a long resonator and yet to be decided on muffler. I want the tips to look close to stock and was wondering if anyone knows where I might find ones that are resonated. Do resonated tips do much, or anything? Thanks in advance.
all my resonators have done is make the sound VERY scratchy. I found that having a cat + muffler (Actual muffler as in belly) makes it very very quiet.
Thanks for taking the time but I was actualy referring to the exhaust tips themselves and whether anyone knew of stock size ones that are resonated. Also, do resonated tips do anything to quiet down exhaust? I know that the muffler itself and a resonator after the cat will help the most with noise reduction, I’m just curious about resonated exhaust tips.
Thanks anyway ElBorintegra. Anyone else?
they probably dont do a thing…
a couple years ago i went to a place and they put on a tip that looks way good. It is a dual outlet 2.5 inch tip. it’s chrome and fits perfectly between the space in the bumper. I think it is a flow master tip. Ill try to get a pic. And it didn’t add any sound just looks.

the longer the resonator, the better it works, so unless you want super long tips, then I would just stick with a longer resonator
If you want quiet, get a RSR catback.
Or throw in a 22"+ long resonator. Magnaflow makes very good resonators.
