Hey guys I don’t know if this is what it’s called but the stock side skirt (panel below the door) can it be replaced? If so how hard is it?
DA’s have stock side skirts? Are you talking about the plastic covering panel you see when you open the door? If so, yes it is replaceable.
It’s hard to describe but basically the old driver hit a bump too fast with the car to low. If you lay on the ground looking at the side of the car there is the piece below the door that curves fromt he side to the bottom of the car. I dont’ have a pic right now I will try to get one
:pixstfu:
but i think i know what your talking about, if i’m correct your talking about the rocker panels right under the doors, it can be replace but gonna cost u an arm…
Here are pics. You can’t see it becuase the light in my garage sucks but in the top pic where the bright part of the light is it’s dented pretty good. should I just pull the carpet and try to pound it out?
That looks like a rocker panel to me?
not many fix that… and u can’t pound that out… its double walled… u’d need to get a “nail gun” (ones used in body shops that weld lil nails) and then u’d use a nail puller, and u’d pull that dent out. i know that area is pretty strong and its decently thick. so u have a few options… take it to a body shop… or cover it up with some side skirts… or leave it alone
Sounds like quite a few have it. Sounds like a pain I will leave it alone for now maybe when I repaint the car I will take care of it. Thank you
Yeah but keep in mind that once you get into a small fender bender… the DA will easily fold in half and totally snap your back in two :stare::worry::run::uhoh:
So is this a highly structural component?
I vote EK sides and try to not get into an accident
