I started coming to this site before it was hosted on this server, during the 8m days. When the “forum” was a series of string threads with no directories. I’ve owned 7, that’s SEVEN Integras - 2 G1s, 2 G2s, 1 G3, 1 G4 (RSX-S), and I just purchased this gorgeous 1992 GS-R in Aztec Green Pearl off a fellow member in October. Stock 115,000 miles of pampered original owner original everything, it’s the car I always wanted trumping any Teg I’ve owned in my 11 years of driving, and on 1.1.10 someone swiped it from a parking lot in West York, PA. It’s a sick feeling that’s going to take a while I think and as an OG of Tegs this is the last Teg I will be owning.
damn dude that sucks ass, how long did you have it? that was a clean, stock car, people need to keep a lookout for parts for db2’s popping up on the web. I hate this kind of shit. that was a beautiful car that some low-life is gonna destroy for what? a couple bucks? I hope you get it back in one piece and they catch these assholes that did that to such a beautiful, rare, immaculate car. let me know if they catch them, I will be on my way to give them a curb stomp that they def. need.
I’ve owned this car since late October of 09 and before that the car spent it’s life in Boston. Whoever did this had the car scoped out based off the color alone because the car was totally stock otherwise, besides the brand new Potenzas I put on exactly ONE day before it was stolen. No sidebar amateur thief would pop a 18 year old stock vintage Honda in a local shit hole like York unless they had a great transit system to get the car out of the area and into a million pieces. I did have full insurance coverage on the car because I tend to have amazing luck like this so there is one positive note but I’m still in disbelief.
Can someone please figure out whats going on here. This guy is making this up. There is no such 92 GSR ending in 3426. TRUST ME. Look at this post he made:
I don’t want to point fingers --but 2 days after you claim the car is stolen you link to another thread where you are selling parts already including an OEM b17 ECU?
If you claim to have had number 3426, then your VIN would have been JH4DB238XNS003426 – This is the correct vin with correct check digit being an “x” and it doesn’t exist. It cannot be run through Carfax. I spent hours figuring out how many were made and the number is 3120 in 92. You can run any number between 3121-3426 and it will not exist.
Where did the X come from? I realize looking at it now I switched up the 26 and the 34, you’re correct. I bought a replacement ECU a month after I bought the car because it had a 3-5K hesitation that one post pointed to replacing the P61 ECU with a different VTEC ECU and getting rid of the problem. I just hoped that a different P61 would make a difference. It didn’t and so I had that extra ECU posted up along with a palmy blue armrest I came across junkyard hunting on a different post. I’ve been trying to sell that ECU for a couple months now but after getting ripped off to the tune of $184 for it it’s been hard to consider offers under $100. If there is any further doubt, SEARCH my user name a little bit more so you can find the thread where I actually bought the car from a fellow member back in October.

Great I’m glad you were able to clarify that. Seeing that you even had the # 3426 in you signature I figured you really believed you owned a GSR with that number or had other intentions. BTW If 1992 GSR # 3426 existed then the letter X would have been the check digit which comes right before the model year letter (which is an N for 92’s).
Now that you have provided the correct VIN # I ran it to see if it states that it’s stolen. And Carfax hasn’t listed it as stolen yet. This is a good reminder for all car buyers out there that just because a car has a clean VIN on one of those websites, doesn’t mean it wasn’t stolen last week.
G2TegMan- My apologies for questioning you, but I’m sure you can understand why there was reason for concern here.
I’m usually pretty good with numbers, it’s embarrassing that I’ve been flaunting a number that didn’t exist for the last 3 months. Weird. As of the 2nd of January there was a police report filed and as of yesterday finalized with all information and questions from the insurance company even though the claim was made on the 2nd as well. If nothing shows up in 10 days they make the call on the value of the car and it’s considered a total loss. Maybe it will show up after the insurance company finalizes it all but that wouldn’t make sense for Carfax to go off of especially if that allows the thief to quickly resell it basing it off of Carfax not picking up on the stolen status yet. Dunno
Honestly I have considered the guys that put my tires on because they are friends of my old roommate and the car was parked at that old house when it was taken. State Farm is giving me $2740 for it, that’s the average of roughly $3700 NADA value and $2000 Autosource value then minus $500 for the deductible. With $1200 in money, one day old tires, and tuneup, oil change, parts, etc put into the car and $300 sunglasses in the car at the time that’s roughly $1500 I lit with a match the day I bought the car for $3200 in October. Who the hell is Autosource? I’m wondering myself but according to the insurance company they get their values based off of “past inventory prices”, averages taken across the company at various dealerships, and a bunch of other BS that equates to a low ball figure to jack up the price average. Otherwise still no word on anything.
Fuck $2740. “Autosource” sounds like a trade in value. Do your homework and be patient. Your car is worth more than that, but with the extreme rarity the ins co. is going to comp it to gs’s. Thats crap. I had an 86 Civic si wrecked, and thy comped it to ef’s. Whack. Tell them to comp it to DC Gs-rs.
What are you talking about??? OP you are lucky to get that much at all. Our cars no matter what they look like or what you put in to it will only be worth what blue book says its worth. Take the cash and buy another teg.
