my DB2 was stolen last night from out side of my complex out here in san diego my car was parked out on the street underneath my window and my window was wide open. so who the fuck took it was good because I didn’t here a single thing. I had my hub lock on and also my revelco anti theft device which is a fancy ass kill switch pretty much.
I have a file a report with san diego police department called insurance and filed a report as well. Anyone with any info or sees the car in the cali area
I’ll keep my eyes open up in the bay area for ya, but like the other guy said it could have gone south of the border too. SHitty deal cause Insurance will never pay out what that car is really worth.
Hopefully it doesn’t disappear for too long

You would be suprised what insurance companies pay. My last DB2 was totaled and insurance gave me 3300 for it…cool thing was I only paid 2600 a year and a half prior. Made out like a bandit. Good luck finding it man…how good are the cops about finding stuff like that in the bay area??? I know when I lived in Augusta if a car got stolen …cops were on the hunt to find it and the culprit…
they are about as good as anywhere else in Cali… old car = low priority. round here if a teg or honda disappears you usually find it in peices up in modesto, vallejo areas, or spread out all over craigslist.
I got lucky with my old 300ZX like that and got more back than I spent on it, but it really varies from company to company. TMV on our cars varies from 1400- 2100 dollars so that is the baseline to go by as insurance uses the TMV + any upgrades like rims, wheels, etc ( they call them customizations) as long as you keep receipts. they do not factor in mechanical modifications tho…
Here is a little update from yesterday they found the car two blocks down the street from where I live this afternoon, the fucking thieves made away with some stuff but nothing that can’t be replaced. here is the list of things as follows as what they took.
1 steering wheel
2 radio
3 hondata s300
4 all my tools
5 my weighted vest i use for fire fighting training
6 gym bag with shoes and shorts in it.
but other then that I got lucky as heck because they didn’t take the engine, the exhaust, wheels or even my suspension or my custom made parts. thanks to everyone for the comments and for being on the lookout
Consider yourself lucky man! That’s awesome they found it, with minor losses…
And, stole your gym shorts/shoes? What the fuck? Lol
yea I consider my self extremely lucky. Yeah it’s the crackheads out here they take the shit that normal thieves don’t take, like who the fuck would want a weighted vest and gym gear.?
Makes no sense but then again do crackheads make any sense in the first place
So hold up! Did the scumb-bags tow the car 2 blocks to do their dirt or did they manage to start the car and drive off? Also how did they gain entry? Do you have to replace a window? As far as the HonData, was that packaged up, or installed and now you can’t start your car? Get at us on this tid bit. BTW I’m happy to hear that you got your DB2 back. Bitch ass theives need their nuts cut off so they can’t contaminate the world with their seeds.
I’m surprised that they were so skillful and sneaky stealing the car outside your window, getting by the pricey alarm setup and yet they only took what they could grab?
Doesn’t add up to me… If they were crack heads… Then those are some pretty skillful crack heads.
I’d be more alert now that they know where you’re located, what’s in your car, and we know that whoever did this has the skills or a tow at their dispense for it to happen again.
Lucky man I know for vettes and fbodies especially 4th gens, they get them over the border to chop shops.
Glad they took minimal stuff, I am always on craigslist so if you want I can keep an eye out for the stuff lol, but maybe they want to start firefighter training too lol.
Sucks about the whole situation. At least you have it back. Where are you a firefighter at? I’m a firefighter / paramedic in downtown Atlanta. What kind of steering wheel did you have? I have an extra oem steering wheel from my db2. What color db2 do you have?
yeah the hondata was installed, as for how they got in I have no clue I lock my doors every night so yeah I am at a loss at to how the got in. They weren’t able to drive the car off the only think I can think of is that how ever took it had a repo truck. because I had my hub lock on so they couldn’t really turn the steering wheel from a dead stop and they I didn’t hear I sound under my window.

Same here I was at a loss when I first woke up that morning like how the fuck were they able to get it from under my window and not make a sound. good part is that they left everything else in the car. I am just glad to have it back. Yeah a lot of the tweakers or crack heads around here us to be in the honda scene.

Yeah I was counting it as a lost the first day because I was like fuck it its in tj already. yeah if you don’t mind I wont really have much time to do so after monday. and I bet you they thought the weighted vest was a bullet proof vest.
I work for the US Forest Service out of Oregon during the summer time, I had a nardi personal. I have a red db2
