Because my neighbor totalled her CRV from the back so now shes giving the car to the junk yard. So I want her engine only if it is worth hooking it up? I dont have time to search cuz she getting rid of it in like one or two days and I need time to take it out So like how much horse poer can I expect from the B20 block and B18 head??? Sorry for all the reading. Please help me!!! :naughty:

ok, where to start-
-
you cannot put an H-series head on a B-series block(the most powerful hybrid that I have heard of is an H22 head on an H23 block)
-
The B20 and a vtec head would be a killer engine, IF built right.
You have to put alot of money to buid one good though, so :search: I know it has been covered a million times. -
get the engine, if you put it in your teg without a vtec head you will notice a gain in toqure and power.
PLUS- You really have to search, it will help out a bunch in the threads.![]()

Did you read above? You can’t put an H-series head onto a B-block.
It’s the same as asking if I can put a B16 head onto a D16 Civic motor…

If you have time to post, you have time to search. Look up CRVTEC or LSVTEC

HMMMM lets think about this Any b series block to any b sries head…d series wont work just like h series wont fit on a b18 or b16…think about man.
I have a friend who had a 1990 DA with numerous motor swaps. He’s done B18a’s, B16’s, B18c1’s, B18c5’s and a B20. So far- to my amazement- he says that his latest B20 setup is by far the quickest. This made me contemplate my wanting a B18c5 and spending so much when a B20 would be a fraction of that. Then I remembered that I’m over being “the fastest”. I’ll stick with the ITR envy.

if hes gone through that many motors the power difference between the setups have less to do with the motors and more to do with the work and setup done
