STS Results from 11/2 @ Hollywood Park

There were a few members racing in the STS class here so I thought I’d post up the results. Great job fellas.

Top 3 plus us(position, name, car, 1st run, 2nd run, 3rd run, best):

STREET TOURING (STS)

  1. HIROO SUMIDA 00 SUBARU IMPREZA 75.701 74.959 75.491 74.959

  2. WILL KALMAN 91 FORD ESCORT 75.608 76.112 76.039 75.608

  3. ERIC SUNG 00 SUBARU IMPREZA 76.706 76.715 77.240 76.706

  4. NINO FRKANEC 92 ACURA INTEGRA 78.027 77.707 78.814(1) 77.707

  5. JOHNNY CHO 92 ACURA INTEGRA 82.279 79.582 78.873 78.873

  6. ELIJAH WEINER 93 ACURA INTEGRA 80.220 79.027 DNF 79.027

There were 29 cars total in STS, so we did fairly well, although each of us thinks we could have done a bit better(of course). :stuck_out_tongue: Los Angeles is an extremely competitive region for STS. At the National championships this year, 4 out of the top ten were from this region.

YEAH! nice nino and johnny! taking that number 5&6 spots.

How come you didn’t include me for the 4th position?

DUY LE 91 ACURA INTEGRA 77.846 77.705 78.945 77.629

:stuck_out_tongue:

HAHA… Good deal Nino. Wish I could’ve gone.

Damn Duy, I forgot to put you down. oops.

Nino, thanks, added to my favorites…

I saw Dec. 13th at California Speedway…
Is that in the infeild part of the track or is it in the parking lot…??

I’m down if you’re goin.

The only event I’ve ever been to at CA. Speedway was in the parking lot. December 13th is a practice day. I have a race down here in SD that day, but I’ll try to make it up to the championship event up there on that Sunday(Dec. 14th). I’ll talk to you more about it as it gets nearer.

That’s what I said the first time this guy beat us by several seconds. This guy is one of the best drivers I’ve seen in our class. He finished in 9th place(out of 53) at the national championships this year. Not to mention the two national wins he had in San Diego and Atwater this year.

damn sorry i couldnt make it after the dyno. had too many things to fix but hopefully ill be ready for the next one. any media?

29 PEOPLE IN STS!?!?!?!?! that’s awesome. i’m usually lucky if i get to race against 4 or 5 other people.

I didn’t take any pictures, but a friend of mine often has footage from inside his car. This time he was co-driving someone else’s car though(S2000), so I’m not sure if he had the camera in there. You can check out his videos from past local events here.

STS is extremely popular in So Cal. It’s nice having a lot of competition, but I think I’d rather have less and perhaps a little more seat time instead.

how come he has stockish tires on his cars and wins 1st? at best he has s03’s, but they cant compare to azenis can they? you figure he would get even better times…

good job nino johnny and eli:clap:

beat kalman!!!

this past autox’s field was a good one. lots of great times/competition, and it was good to get out there again after a long absence. i think the g2’s did pretty well, though.

nino, you should post the total results of the whole sts class.
