stuck adjusting tein basics

ok so yesterday i go to raise my car up so my car is driveable on PA roads, and i am trying to adjust the two collar things but they just would not budge. Is there a trick to get these things to move? ugh i need to get this raised up to a decent ride height…thanks.

ugh i still can’t get this, just to make sure im turning it right, which way should i turn the bottom one while turning the top one the opposite way? clockwise or counterclockwise? thanks

just break loose the bottom one first then adjust the top one. one you get the height you desire, re tighten the bottom one.

Top should spin to the right, bottom spins to the left, you have to use your tools provided with the kit. Re-lick them when you are done adjusting the height.

what does relick mean? just to make sure they’re tight?

Sometimes dirt and shit get into the grooves of the sleeves thus making it hard to turn loose. What I do is just get a flathead screwdriver and put it into one of the rings grooves and then just tap it lightly with a hammer, it should turn with ease… always works for me.

I honestly don’t know what word I was trying to use. Yes make sure you tightne them when you are done.

yeah when i tried before i used a hammer and punch to try and knock em loose. I may have been trying to turn it the wrong way. When i try tomorrow i should use a screwdriver and tap it from the right side in order to spin the lower one counterclockwize, correct?

looking from the top, the top ring should spin counter-clockwise(lefty loosy), and the bottom should spin clockwise(righty tighty). just keep working at it with the two wrenches. hybrid90 couldnt have been more correct about the crap that gets in the threads. However, i dont think that the whole hammer thing is nessesary(as long as you have enough room to muscle the wrenches back, or together depending how you like to do it).
