sugestions on head gaskets?

whats up guys. i bought a 91 4 door integra bone stock with 287,000 miles. the head gasket blew out so im going to replace it. any suggestions on a brand name for head gasket besides OEM?!?! i called up acura and they want $133 for just a head gasket alone! but i found a few head gaskets on rockauto.com for around 40-60 bucks. and ebay has the same ones for around the same price. ebay also has a complete over haul kit for around 150 shipped! what do u guys think?

spikeymike summed it up. If the dealer is quoting you $120 for the headgasket, either call another dealer or buy from ^that link online.

A headgasket is definitely one of those things where I would stay OEM.

yep sure did! thanks guys! just bought one right now. it came up to 68.00 i also went ahead and ordered a timing belt and water pump kit and arp head studs! wish me luck! oh and a new thermostat and temp. control switch! no more overheating for the next 100,000 miles!! i hope… lol

I would consider a complete rebuild for a 20 year old engine with 287,000 miles. Your piston rings are probably shot.
