My drivers side trunk drain tub has come out of the elbow adapter. I cant get it to stay in because of the metal that is in the way. I was wondering if you could plug the hole at the back of the sunroof so it does not drain through that tube.
im not sure but i think it might end up causing a leak at ur sunroof if u do that. its a good question man
yes. it will. that’s what it was designed for.
what piece of metal are you referring to? can you maybe use zip ties? or extend the tube with a smaller diameter piece inside the end of the original one?
i had this problem on my da and you will just have to get your hand back there and put silicone on the end of the tube and place it back inside the other end of the tube and let it dry.
closing it up completely could cause the water to pool up and leak elsewhere. and could lead to rust, in the long term. I wouldn’t advise. Instead, take the time and try to get access to it and properly redirect it where it’s supposed to go.
Mine came loose too so I know what you mean, it is a pain to reach in there. I loosened the auto antenna motor to give me a little more room and taped the hose on real good. That was about 2 years ago and I haven’t seen any more leaks.
