Before I start lowering my roof liner has anyone had the problem on the power sunroof not working. When I press the button to open you can hear the motor start to engage but nothing happen, if you toggle back and forth from the open and close it will open really slowly, but the closing direction is normal and if nothing is wrong. I have check the switch on the dash and it has power and is sending power to the motor. If anyone has had this problem, or knows a direction to start at, it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Sounds like wither the gears in the electric motor are stripping/skipping, or there is something blocking the glass from going rearwards (a hose for the rear washer, possibly?).
Lower the headliner and take a look… try the sunroof while the headliner is down to get a better feel of what goes on under there.
According to the Helms manual, the causes of the glass not moving (or moving slowly), but the motor moving normally, are the following:
- Clutch out of adjustment
- Foreign matter stuck between guide rail and slider
- Inner cable loose
- Outer cable not attached properly
My bet is on number 2.

If none of those work, clean the sunroof switch via the intructions on the Teg Tips.
