Anybody know anything on this? I really want to do this and I’m sure many others do too!
There’s an old thread on that, here it is. I’ve been trying to find “DIY” info on this for a while. Just comes down to having a shop put an aftermarket one on, I guess.
So, in short, only way DAs can do this is by buying the aftermarket sunroof??
Can’t say for sure. The guys from that thread said they bought their cars that way. The previous owners had it done. I’m in the same boat you are. I’m still searching for a way to have it done with the original sunroof. Let me know if you find anything. :read:
Why would you want it though? Those kinda sunroofs seems to cause more wind noise while driving and not to mention creates a lil more drag thus lowering your gas mileage <----- just being a pickyass since gas prices has gone to shit… :read:
there is a way to do it im not too sure how but i was reading about it a while back. maybe someone will chime in. but i read that it isnt very stable and you break tracks and there was one that was goin 90 mph and his sunroof fell out. so if you want a stable/secure one id go with aftermarket
I don’t mind. I don’t really intend on driving that fast with it open. On the issue with gas . . . I’m pretty cautious too but, I don’t mind a little drag though. On a good tank I get up to 34 average mpg and on a bad tank 29 average mpg. My main reason for wanting the tilt is to release more heat out of the cockpit. It’s still hot even when I have both driver and passenger windows open. Plus, opening the stock sun roof all the way doesn’t help when the sun is beating down on me and the passenger.
i heard u can put the DC sunroof in…dont know how true it is…
damn, i hope someone finds out!

Yeah, that was the guy from the other thread. He said that the sun/moon roof was already there when he got the car.
