suspension: lower fork-to-control arm bolt tip

symptom: can’t seem to line up the fork to the lower control arm to get that bolt through. can take up to an hour of jumping on the rotor, stomping, various bars for leverage, another helper, cursing, etc.

cause: your car is not level. you probably lifted the car up on one side only. because the opposite side is leaning down as in a turn, the anti-roll bar (swaybar) in effect is pushing down on the side you lifted. this can be especially annoying if you have aftermarket sways like i do.

solution: jack the car up in the front so the sides are even. the bolt will slide right through

Dude, how often are you working on your car, man? I see you post new tips all the time!

:open_mouth:

hehe. just thot id save others the frustration. this is probably the 8th time ive done this before realizing it :stuck_out_tongue:
