Well, the other night I totalled my 99 EBP Civic Si. I think i’m gonna buy it back and take the engine and wheels if there isn’t any damage to them. The wheels will need refinished. The engine was still running after I rolled the car, so I think the engine is still alright. I was wondering if it’s a pretty straight foward swap, meaning will i need to modify my teg to fit anything? Can i use my G2 ys1 trans in it?? I really don’t know a whole lot about ECU’s either. Can I use the civic’s ECU? Would it be better just to swap the head on and rebuild my current block? Can someone help me out, i know this post seems a little disorganized. BTW i plan to add a turbo, but thats a few years away.
check in the teg tips. there is a huge write up on all the engines that swap into g2 tegs. it will answer all of you questions for sure
