THE INTRO
Hello, I guess I’ll start off with an intro. I’m not 100% a noob just to the da world. I’ve turned wrenches for 8 years as a diesel tech. and now I work for a parts store so I know my way most things, I’ve also have help my friends with there cars (Fits, camaros, DC2 and a few others cars). I won’t ask the same question that has been ask 9000 times before because I know how to search the interwebs (google), unless I really need a straight yes or no answer also maybe just some clarification.
This Da is going to be my second time trying to do a project car since the 1st one didn’t get to far do to some personal bs, the first time was with an EJ1 that I going to build for track and weekend fun car so I’ve learned a lot from pass research about B and K series swaps and some other types of builds (most of them) this doesn’t mean I’m a know it all but just enough to get me into trouble.
So as the title says super slow build, I really mean that. I’ll be doing about 85-99% of the work myself with some help from friends and a shop or two, while trying to document as much of the process as I go. I’m still trying to figure out what setup I want to go with engine wise, while Suspension is mostly already done on paper.
Also please forgive my grammar I suck at spelling, make a lot of type-o’s and normally do a lot of run on sentences.
THE DA
So this is the part where I talk about the DA and post pictures. Well its a 93 LS white, super mint interior, no rust that we could see or big body work if any and I’ll be the third or fourth owner ( i forget), it has 27x,xxx miles on it so a lot of parts are getting changed out (again super slow) As for pictures that’s going to have to wait here’s why.
My friend got it about ten months ago and since the day he got it I’ve been on him that if he sells it I got first debs. Well about two months we got to talking and he told me that he was going to give it up the car, because it had an over heating issue that he couldn’t fix and it needed tires and it needs a paint job. Then he tells me if I wanted its mine. At first I was like YES!!! but realized that I couldn’t buy it just yet, bills need to be paid and as well as some room needs to be made. We worked out a deal and I should have the car in about a month or so (I hope). Until then we will have to wait for pics. Doesn’t mean I won’t be picking up parts (the small stuff IE pads, rotors, and so on) while I get my stuff together.
I hope you enjoyed this long winded intro. LOL
