or what i do when i’m alone (nobody to push the brake for me if i already have it up in the air) and just use a reeeeaally long pipe on a breaker bar so you can push the brake at the same time.
get napa axles 80 for one of their “unbreakable axles” with lifetime warranty
i dunno i just feel ok with honda manual tranny fluid, after i put that in i could chirp to 2nd and lose traction shifting to 2nd because its grabbing so hard and dont get it twisted with slipping, i actually lose traction because i hear the tires skid
Anybody have a picture of the “friction modified” bottle becuase the synchromesh i bought i dont think its the friction modified stuff. The synchromesh helped some but its still kinda hard to get gear (especially in 1st when at a stop), compared to my last tranny that had GM synchromesh in it.
go to a GM car dealer get teh synchromesh it werks. we found lil metal shavings in my freind’s ls tranny with the infamous 3rd gear grind. used the synchromesh 2 days later it dissappeared. dunt understand it at all but shit it werks
man, i really hope this stuff works, im ordering some tonight, 10$ a quart and im getting 3 quarts. ill try it out and let everyone know. thanx for the advice. -Elliott
im confused, do you just need the syncromesh tranny fluid, and do you need anything else to go with it, i bought 3 qrts tonight and read something earlier in the thread about some other thing you need???
no thats it right there
bump for some dam good information
Goto any parts store and ask for AC DELCO syncromesh. That’s what GM synchromesh has changed their labels to. If you goto a GM dealer, they will give you AC Delco.
there are 2 different syncromesh types.
one is friction modified ac delco pn#10-4014 GM pn#8890399 sells at my work for 9.19 each. The bottle says GM SYNCROMESH MAUAL TRANSMISION LUBRICANT.
The other has no friction modifier AC Delco pn#10-4006 GM pn#88900333 sells at my work 7.32 each. botle says GM SYNCROMESH FOR AUTOMAIC TRANSMISIONS.
I work in an independant auto parts store only located in vancouver washington so prices may vary from store to store but both lines we sell have Pensoil labels on them. so my guess is they would be the same.
I have used it several times before and it has ALWAYS helped with grinds in the syncros but Never has it completely eliminated them. BUt if it keeps my transmission in my longer then im a supporter…
just FYI
haha I don’t think there going to reply bro read the date
Haha yeah… but he did give out some damn good information though :read:
I run MOTUL tranny lubricant is it better than the syncromesh stuff
HA! well it doesnt matter if they reply but someone might need the info later on. so thats why i posted. since i cant post on an archive or it would have been there…
And this stuff could be had at any local Kragen/Autozone type stores? How long have you been running the MOTUL stuff? Have pictures of the bottle? Thanks
This is the Gear fluid I use http://www.motul-lubricants.com/en/products/products_gearoils.shtml?panel=0 They are used by MUGEN and the F1 teams, from what I have been told/seen on their website.
Thanks for the link!
I use all their products. From engine oil to brake fluid.
