Yeah. That bitch wouldnt come off so we had to get medieval on it. Sweat it, I’ll just get a new one. :sipread:

Ok, I’m taking a small break but didn’t want my thread to die.

My girlfriend just got me these for Valentine’s Day. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and Dunks are my favorite shoe so she got me these…

Limited Edition Jedi Dunk

nice dunks. oh and nice build.

^^

Thanks man.

While I have the motor out, I got started on cleaning up the bay. Not doing a wire tuck by any means, just want to streamline a few things. I’ll be relocating the underhood fuse box into the cabin and hiding the headlight harness. My wiper motor is out and according to Pandahatch (6SPD DA6), maybe I won’t need it. We’ll see. Anyways, I snapped off a couple pics.

Mmmm…Shinerbock. What’s up Austin TX?

Fuse block wires pulled into the engine bay.

nice update! you will be getting her running in no time

Thanks for the compliments. Good luck on the house. I literally started taking apart my car 10 minutes after I got it in the garage. Yeah youre right down the road so maybe I’ll see ya around. Thanks for checking out my build.

Word. Shiner FTMFW! Haha. Yeah I was thinking about rolling the Xterra up to one of the meets but I dont want to be “that guy”. LOL. I think some of yall are going to the HT meet so maybe I’ll see you there?

keep up the good work.

Yeah man, at the very least VDo, txracer, and I will be showing up, but there may be some lurkers from the Austin thread that will be there.

Right on. I’ll see you doods out there. I’m the good looking black guy.

I’m dropping the block off at the machine shop tomorrow. All machine work will be done at Pflugerville Engine & Machine.

http://pflugervillemachine.com/

I’ve heard nothing but good things about these guys so we’ll see.

I’ll be getting the block honed, tanked, and my crank polished. The main thing here is that I’ll finally know if I’ll need OS pistons since I dont own a micrometer (and wouldnt trust my measurements if I did. Haha).

I’ll take my rods, pistons (after I purchase them) and head later. I’m also going home to Cali for a week so this will probably be my last post until I return.

just noticed u were in austin. let me kno how the machine shop work turns out. been looking around for a shop.

Turns out that the shop no longer works on Honda motors. I was pissed because I spent 45 minutes looking for the place only to be turned away because the owner thinks he doesnt make enough money on 4 bangers. So I may be honing this thing myself. I’m in Cali right now so we’ll see how things go when I get back to Austin.

Well I just sent an email to Inline Four and I’m looking to send my block to them. Having them do the work would eliminate several steps all at one time…killing about 5 proverbial birds with one stone.

Has anybody ever used their services? I’ve bought parts from them but I’ve never had any work done by them.

Well IL4 wanted to charge me $1800. Fuck that. Back to plan A.

Anyways, I just bought some oversized P30 piston (+.25) just to be on the safe side.

I’m back on track.

I just got flew back into town last night after being in Florida for 2 weeks on business. My ACL rod and main bearings, and thrust washers came in while I was away.

Next week the parts will be flying in and this build should be moving faster than barbecue ribs at a black family reunion.

I also decided to snap a few random pics of my “Man Room”. These may seem a bit off topic, but really, these are some things that motivate my build.

My Jack Russell Terrier, Leia. She’s rad.

Thanks for taking the time to post up your build. I love posts like this and look forward to each installment. Grats on the house and props to you for taking life by the horns.
