Hey guys. I have a 1992 Acura integra. I got tired of the tail lights. So on my journey to the junkyard i found MINT tail lights. They were the 50/50 ( top half white bottom is red) and they came along great untill last night.
I noticed they started cracking. The cracks are all inside the lense. Not even the old ones that were on the car are cracked.
could it be from closing the trunk so much?? Can i take the lense( outter piece) of the older one and put it on the 50/50s?
they could have been a set of ebay tail lights or a cleared set of oem ones. If they looked fairly stock there are 15+ threads on this please :search: . I have no clue how you can crack tailights… unless you got a baseball bat.
No they oem lights. I compared them to the ones that i took off my car. They are branded with the same things. Its like hairline cracks, but when you turn the lights on at night you can see them ALOT. ill take pics and post them 2morrow
I know exact ally what you are speaking of.
They are tiny hairline cracks about 1-2cm, they are allover the lights. In some lighted conditions, you can barely see them, in others, they are very apparent. This was the case with my OEM 93 tails.
My suggestion is some from of spray tint, either all red or slightly dark tinted.
