Taking off rear bumper

well thanks for the help on the front now i would like to know how to go about taking off the rear bumper… any help would be apprecaited… thanks

I have never taken off my rear bumper or oddly enough had to remove a customer one at work either but take a look around in the trunk floor and under the car at the frame rails to see if you can remove it with the rebar as an assembly. You would be looking for two large bolt heads on each side. It will be attached at the quarter panels with screws, on the bottom usually you’ll find clips or screws, and probably thats it. I suspect it probably comes off as an assembly though.

Theres a total of 4 bolts and 4 screws.

2 screws in each wheel well in the rear. To access the inside bolts, open the trunk, lift up the spare tire cover and take off the rear trunk panels. You will be able to spot 2 bolts (1 on each side) holding the top studs in. To get to the outside, get under the car and look up at the same spot where the 2 interior bolts were, and you should see them.

Should take no longer than 10 mins to take off.

The other thing to look out for is the screws that hold on the licence plate lights they are a miserable motherfucker due to being exposed to the elements for so long. your best bet is to remove them prior to removing the bumper because the wires are not long enough to allow the bumper to sit on the ground. it will dangle at a weird angle making them almost impossible to get off. good luck!
