Hi, Im in the market for a new cat-back exhaust system, I bought my 90 GS 2 door teg with 2 1/2 inch cat-back exhaust with a fart can on it and its raspy as all hell! im looking for it to be quiet at normal driving speeds but i want the deep performace sound when i have my foot in it, Ive narrowed it down to 3 different kinds but i cant find help on how to choose from anywhere or anybody, its between the Greddy SP2 cat-back system, the Tanabe Concept G or the Tanabe Touring but i just dont know what to go with, price isnt really and issue just would really like some suggestions? anybody? it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Dude, you’ll love the SP2, It’s badass but :search:
i 2nd that both loving the sp2 and searching
3 reason why i love my sp2
- putting around it has a very soft tone 2k to 3k normal driving really wont hear it.
- when you get on it people will know, sounds bad ass, not that bee in a can sound either.
3, stainless steel, and oh so sexy
so i take it im going with the sp2 then since i cant find anything on the other two
:search: bro, million threads
i like the look of the concept g and if i had the money i would go with it
yeah, the looks doesnt really matter, I care more about performance and sound but if it looks cool thats an added bonus
so what is that extra piece for the 92-93 integra on the greddy sp2 that you need i tried contacting greddy but no response…just wondering if any one knew
What about the RSR exmag? i want something that will bolt up, im really leaning towards the Greddy SP2 because ive done some searching and like what i read about the Greedy but ive just come across the RSR, granted its not all stainless like the greddy and tanabe but between them which one sounds the best performance wise? does anybody have sound clips of either of these on a DA? I need to figure this out soon, everytime i drive my exhaust sounds like a buzzing bee and i need to fix it, thanks.
my sp2 came with a spacer took us about 30 minutes to figure out that it wasnt needed for my car wich is a 91 so im guessing that it was for the 92 - 93 models
well my buddy the greddy EVO II Exhaust on his S/C RSX-s and that was the best exhaust i’ve ever heard on a Honda…
then another kid had the Tanabe on his '99 Civic Si and it sounded horrible…like a typical riced out slow Honda…hmmmm go with Greddy, you’ll love it.

this might help
the smsp sound clip… to me that is the best sounding cross over, that i have heard
so ive decided to go with the Greddy SP2, I orderd it today and should get it in about a week and a half, thanks for all the info.
good choice
ive noticed that since i put my header on the sp2 got just alittle louder. but it sounds amazing.
well i already have a header and i was gonna go with a test pipe, would it be terribly loud then?
to be honest man import tuner did a test between stock cats, hi flow cats, and test pipes. there wasnt much of a difference.
as far as how it would sound i have no idea. i have my stock cat on still…
well i would just leave the stock cat but the person before me put a custom exhaust on it and welded it straight to the cat, so i need to put something there
so no one knows about that extra little piece that the 92-93 integras use because i have found at only one website and i cant even remember what website that was even greddy website dosent have a price or anything…if i cant find out what that little piece is for ill probally end up getting the tanabe touring instead but i would really like to have the greddy if someone could help me i would appreciate it
a test pipe 100% changes the sound of your exhaust. It sounds much louder with it on.
