RMF style header (Maybe- not 100% sure on what header…might have MrPenny do a header up hehe)
— For now that’s the gist of mechanical upgrades.

Hondata S300
MSD Style ignition coils and plugs matched (Any input is appreciated.
RC 750+? injectors. May be getting those soon.
Then misc. hoses gaskets and such will be replaced as well.
Pics of current status:
-Hood bumper and head!
-Fuses/Cruise Control and harness coming out (slowly. teggyguy is kinda tarded)
–This week goal:
Hoses out all fluids out. Tranny Unbolted and block ready for pull.
.
Thanks for looking please offer comments constructive criticism only please Any ideas on the build for HP gains (and don’t say boost ya noobs hehe ) appreciated.
If you see or read about any parts (I.E power steering pump/bracket for gsr) that i’m getting rid of feel free to make offers.
PS pump and bracket are for sale…
Have a bunch of misc. parts that will be for sale as well.
hey would you mind taking a pic of the fuse box open? i need to know how the three wires go that have bolts on them they are on the bottom kinda. if you could just take a pic of it open and post it thanks.
go more into detail of the s300 and msd style ignition coils, I dont believe msd make an coil on plug setup. are you talking about running a msd box and coil.
Ill call you later tonight. if the garage is warm, maybe ill come help out a bit:D
Have you checked piston to wall clearance with those pistons? I ask because I also bought 81mm bore for my build and the clearance was too much (the block obviously had some mileage on it). This caused suchhhh a delay…my engine still is not done. I learned the hard way why people always go .5 over with pistons on a used block (thats what I ended up doing - trading in my 81mm for 81.5mm and being charged a damn stocking fee).
The order of the 3 big wires that connect is:
white/orange: closest to the firewall
white/black: middle
white : closest to the front of the car
The from the battery:
The wire connector that has a little downward tab is toward the bumper
and the other wire without a tab is closest to firewall. (Top of pic)
This is a “dry fit” of it:
WHY NOT TO USE VATO ZONE AXLES!

And why I love my baby:
(Someone at the meet loved my Molly too hehe there were a bunch of pix from that meet hehe)
For the MSD I basically mean a typical box coil type setup.
I haven’t read too much about that stuff and how it positively and negatively affects the motor and such. I have heard that the MSD improves low end. Also it is desirable for high compression setups.
At this point that’s what I know hehe.
WHOAMI:
Unfortunately no I have not and may end up in that same boat. Which is okay, my wiseco pistons have not even been touched by human hands. (BKLACK1 will attest that I bitched about it when I showed em off hehe)
So they will be sold as “NIB” if I have to, but I believe the company I bought them from will be willing to exchange for shipping and stocking. I’m okay with it.
to be honsest with you man, I would forget about the msd ignition. the stock system is good for well over the goals you seem to be shooting for.
If you are bent on hell on it. I still have that MSD SCI-L custom mounted to the passenger knee bolster that I will sell as a complete system box. cap and pair of coils to you. ill let you get it for next to nothing:hugs:
I’ve read though that msd is good for the higher compression n/a motors at the low end (Plus I wont have to sit there cranking the biznitch over for 5 min to get it started )
If you would be willing to that’s awesome! What all else would I need or can I use the ngk 8mm wires I have?
I like my MSD ignition. It seems to be quite a bit better than the stock. But My setup is a blaster coil, running off the stock ignition, and then cap and rotor and what not. so yeah…
The high torque starter is probably a necessity but the problem is on the hc motors is that the fuel doesn’t wanna ignite right so that’s why im thinking the MSD will help starting as it will get the fuel to burn correctly.
Did you use the msd-sci-l ign Glynn?
What’d you think?
Lol I will try to update it as much as possible… I don’t have parts and I cannot self-regulate when it comes to my sleep schedule lol. Didn’t do anything last night…
Helped Glynn fix his clunking front end though… hehehe
“I checked those bolts” ‘Check em again’ “I already did though man…” ‘So?’
Much love 3oh3-ers! ?I don’t think I liked that, guess its not my style? lol
Im posting this while im in my Womans History class haha.
I know what your thinking…
All these build threads just make me want to dump more money into my car.
Our g2 crew should be 10x sicker this summer since everyone has some type of build theyre doing.
