Yeah, I have raced at the track numerous times B4 this. This was however the first time in this car. This car is suprisingly Easy to launch as well at the track… even with my bald tires.

at least you dont have to go and buy slicks 
on that note I would say you have a shorter geared tranny
my rs with long geared ys1 doesnt get to 4k until 80mph or so when in 5th gear
Ya know what… iwas paying closer attention today and noticed it is not at 3800-4K at 70Mph. it is more like 3600 at 70Mph in 5th. Sorry

Well… I was staging as deep as I could. Umm… I was luanching at about 4.5KRpm’s all the time SLIGHTLY feathering out the clutch. Once i started moving I dumped it out the rest of the way. I have some really bald tires so I was still getting some wheel-spin off the line but still able to cut mid to low 2.2 60’s. Once I get new tires and a better clutch… I am expecting to pull nothing less than a 2.1 60’

wow… that seems a little on the slow side. My boy was at the track the same night as me with his 91’ LS Auto. All he has done is a short ram and he pulled a best time of 16.9. what was your 60’? I think his was a 2.4 which isn’t that bad for an Auto LS.

those times aren’t bad at all. especially for stock. i’ve managed to pull of some pretty good runs myself in the mid 14’s with my 92 GS. car stats as follows:
B18A1 NON-VTEC engine
rebuilt but STOCK tranny
valves,valve springs, retainers
NGK Iridium Plugs
“eBay cheapy” intake
clutchmasters stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel
modded ECU
stock exhaust except from the axle back which is 2.5 inch with another “ebay cheapy” muffler
carbon fiber hood
stock 14" GS wheels (92) with falken azenis tires
and nothing much else except removing spare tire and rear seat
with slicks and using my buddy john’s nitrous kit i was running mid 13’s beating turbo type R’s and mildly modded SS Camaros, i was a favorite last summer for a couple of weeks at MIR. i will post the slips and pics of car ASAP but am still sorting shit out after a recent move. i dont bullshit people and always do my best to back up my word. if i cant find the slips pics etc. i’ll post the new ones when i go back in the next couple of weeks. later.
thats a good time for basically stock ls. im pretty sure u have a shorter geared b16 tranny. my stock ls tranny id be in the lower 3K range at 70. but id still go into 4th down the 1/4 runnin high 15s since 3rd tops at 80 and i trapped in the high 80s.
hey man i think im in the same boat u are. The freak g2 tegs are all over the place. Ive got 205,ooo miles on my car and ran a 14.9 with minimal mods last tuesday. Bump for the freak tegs.
