So out of the blue my temp gauge started acting up. The minute I turn the car on, the temp needle goes straight to hot. I replaced the temp sensor and the sending unit. I did notice that this happened after I took out my cluster to replace some bulbs. should I just replace the gauge itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
You would have to find the gauge used. They are discontinued at Acura. It sounds more like the line that feeds the cluster the resistance for temp is shorted to ground somewhere.
Any tips on how to find the short?
I replaced the gauge with a used one from eBay. That fixed my problem.
