Actually, It’s “G2IC”, not G3IC…![]()
It’s almost impossible to tell you what the problem is just by the light coming on. You’re gonna have to use a tester and check for engine codes.
hmmm…
sorry…LoL, my finger slipped…“g2ic.” Well, the light comes on whenever it wants too. I don’t have a ODBII reader…not even sure its OBDII. Can someone tell me if my car a PROM or ODBII. Looks like Acura might have to handle this one…thanks in advance. Regards…
What engine do you have in your car? What year is it? If it’s a 90-91 and you have a 90-91 ECU, your car is NON-OBD. Simply pull your carpet back on the passenger side floor and you’ll see a plastic “window” in a galvanized plate. Turn your key to the “run” position (no need to start the car) and cound the flashes. Each long flash stands for 10 and each short flash stands for one. Long pauses between flashes mean that here comes the next code. If it repeats itself…then you only have one code. So for example…if you get 2 long flashes and then 3 short flashes, that would be a code 23 (knock sensor). If you get 1 short flash, that would be a code 1 (oxygen sensor). I’m sure you get the point.
If you have a 92-93 Teg, you have to jump the service connector behind the passenger side kick panel (a paper clip will work) and watch the actual check engine light when you put the car in the run position. It will flash like the LED window on the 90-91s. Reading the codes is the same. Best of luck.
