Damn you…Damn marines. You know thats a Marines car, or some other serviceman.

Pretty clean…

i could be wrong but one of my friends told me that there is a shop in santee, that imports cars straight from japan. so this DB1 could be one of them. one of my friends actually bought a RHD Toyota Aristo (lexus gs400) from this shop (forgot the name). from what i heard he had to buy the shell and engine seperately. i don’t know the details why, but it has to do with registering the car legally and shit. don’t know could be wrong.

Hmmmm, when i saw that silver 4dr at showoff classic last year, i could have sworn the releases for the trunk and gas cap were on the left side?

The import laws are different in the US than they are in Canada. In Canada the car only has to be 15years old before you can import it and register it. As of late there has been a huge iniltration of RHD. I’ve seen RHD AWD Corolla wagons, tons of Skylines, Subaru Legacies, Toyota Seras, Land Cruisers, 300zxs, Mitsibushi Gallants (AWD turbo w/ 4 wheel steering), Silvias, RX7s, a Mitsibushi work van, a few J-spec Benzes, Toyota Soarer, just to name a few…Keep in mind these cars are all 1991s at the earliest but they’re all extremely clean and ultra low mileage for their age.

Here’s a few sites that I came across a while ago :

Day off+nice weather+new camera=Pics!

I had a day off today, so I took the teg for a drive since we had some nice weather here in frisco (for a quick second). I bought a new camera a couple of weeks ago…so I got a chance today to experiment with it. A typical nice day here in SF, where fog starts to roll in towards the end of the day…reason for the smoke like effect in the background in some pics.

Nothing new on the teg, just new pictures:manual:

looks great. what kind of lightbulbs do you have?

^thanks…they’re hid. Not sure what brand bulbs though.

oh HIDs. thats good. do you have any pictures of the light output at night?

how’s this? I just took it. Not as glaring as people think…HIDs in jdm headlights. I’ve never been high beamed for these yet. Had them for six months.

How much was it? where’d you get it? was it a bolt on?

How much brighter then stocks?

wow that looks great. i have the same questions as dark db1 though.

damn i 3rd that…looks freakin fantastic, explain pls. :hyper:

i posted some info on my hids in the product reviews section… check it out!

Wow, I just read mdt115’s review/write up. So far the “glare” hasn’t been a problem for other drivers, but if it does then I’ll consider his option.

I bought my kit from a shop in socal…from some guy on craig’s list. It’s the same kit found on the HT forums from camp1320(except I got it cheaper :))…called Power-X.

I’m sure the tech-ones found on this site is about the same thing. (Mine however is only a single low beam…no high beam on my kit.) Like mdt115 metioned, it’s a straight up plug and play…very simple install. There should be a step by step installation chart included in the kit.

Compared to stock…much brighter. Before these I had Polarg H4H bulbs. The HIDs are much brighter then the Polarg bulbs aswell.

Alan-I paid $240/shipped. Look through LA’s craigslist.

btw-My kit is 6k.

When i first purchased my kit, i didn’t wait to be highbeamed. All this talk going around about glare this and glare that with hid bulbs in halogen only housings. In some states, aftermarket hid’s are illegal and i certainly didn’t want to be picked on by the police. So i wanted to minimize the amount of glare period.

My kit is like blackdb1’s, 6000k. I’ll be honest with you guys, it’s more blue than i wanted it to be. So if you’re looking for damn near close to stock (ie: benz, TL’s, TSX’s etc), go anywhere from 4000k to 5000k (i wish i picked up 4300, which is the same stock hid temps manufacturers use).

It truly is plug and play… you just have to find a neat area to put the ballasts away in. I picked mine up for $275CAN.

one pic before i whore out my car if nobody posts hehehe

i guest i havent shown my teg lately.

theres nothing new about it though

can i live?
