maverick- i used the 94-97 accord side skirts and front mudflaps. i’m loving the betas too…
rex - good shit… we gotta chill n shoot the shit more often ha did u by chance find out how much it is to mount/balance tires at costco?
one of my favorites
some guy is comming over to see and maybe buy my DB1 today. Gave it a quick wash earlier, might be the last time i take pics of my DB1…:surrend:
u guys are all fired for selling ur db1’s :squint:
agreed! i guess to everyone they are expendable.
eh, it’s a win win situation for me, sell the car and get some extra cash, or just keep it around. Either way it’s all good. Anyway the guy that came to see it had a G2 also, a red 90 DA9, was pretty messed up though. :werd:
agreed! i guess to everyone they are expendable.
u know why rex… cause they dont know what its like in the summertime to cruise a db1 in daygo :gtfo:
eh, i decided im gonna keep the db1, whatever my BB1 is missing the DB1 makes up for it and vice versa. beside no one in this gay state appreciate the worthiness of the DB1. man i went out to check the oil in my 4door today and it was still golden honey no brown what so ever and the last time it had an oil changed was in march!!!
I’ve been thinking about selling mine for the last 2 months already. The thing is, I have made 2 attempt’s in the nearly 3 years of ownership to sell it. First time i put it on craigslist, Then went out to get food and the DB1 just didnt drive the same so i began to feel guilty (for a fucking car wtf?) and took down the Craigslist page.
2nd time i put a for sale sign on the windshield and parked it at a shopping center, Then after about a hour i began to get a anxiety attack, Went and picked it up and took down the sign. Like right now, My integra has a shit load of problem’s and i bet it wouldnt even get out of the driveway right now unless i push it. But for all the major thing’s that went wrong with it, It has NEVER left me stranded anywhere. It always got me home when it was dieing, Except that one time i had a flat tire but that was my fault.
^, man your car sound like it’s in much worse condition than mine. At least you guys have a garage to keep your db1s in and work on it. I don’t and that’s one of the reasons why I was selling it. What stopped me was when i when I went to check on the oil, HOLY Shit, i looked exactly the same as when it was changed back in march. Clean like brand new oil, Didn’t even loss a drop, still read a little over the 2nd dot. Thats when I realize there was something special about this db1, I went back inside and deleted the craiglist posting.
I driven my BB1 only for 2 weeks now, and it already loss a quart (but due to some leakage) and it’s brownish now! I’ve driven the DB1 for 2 and half weeks straight and on and off, even pushed it a couple of time but dammn I wasn’t expecting this…
REX and Ian you guys was talking this and that about me selling my db1, I think I might out last you guys now, you guys on for a challenge to see who can keep their db1 the longest?:excite:
man im glad i didn’t sell it though, i would’ve lost something special, and for what price? only for a month and a half worth of salary…but I’ve already spent around $4grand into this car, it was pita to get it here and i went thru some crazy shit with it. but I guess it was all worth it now…
:werd:
sonx- were just giving you a hard time. i guess we were a little bothered by BLK4DA because of him selling his DB1. i mean he was working on fixing up his car, then calling us to get photoshoots and meets together… then…BOOM!! “sorry guys sold my car but don’t worry i’ll be back” kinda crap.
as far as a challenge on who sees who keeps their DB1 the longest. Funny you said that because me and Ian were talking about the same thing, we have no future plans on selling our DB1s ever. We put our heart and soul into them and see no financial gain. especially mine, with the manual belt conversion, automatic (future plans to go stick), and all the money i spent. i have nothing but love for it. but good to hear that you aren’t selling your DB1. just keep them both and use the prelude as the beater…
REx, the cb7 is my beater not the prelude! I plan on dropping MAD MONEY into the prelude and building it to the max actually.
I’m with you rex on that one. I have owned mine since 95 and with all the work and money I’m putting into it right now, it’s not going anywhere.
Mine for sure is not going anywhere. Too much time, money, and grey hairs went into my sedan. Even when times I thought about selling her to make room for a new car I want, I ended up thinking about how much I invested…then figure that I’d keep her, and won’t get a new car until I have extra room. I’ve owned my sedan since '98, and my family is the original owners since '89…and I’m not about to sell it to some guy who low balls me for $2k. Even if all the goodies were taken away from her, the engine with tranny alone…$2k my ass! (Some guy offered $2k for my sedan, which I turned down with a laugh. The guy got offended and argued with me that $2k is more then it’s worth.) Even though our cars are not worth much, it would take a ridiculous amount of money for me to sell…and I don’t see anyone paying that type of money for a G2, except for a hardcore G2 enthusiast maybe.
blackdb1, i just saw your pictures, love the CF hood, I’ve always wanted to get a CF hood. IMO CF looks best on black cars.
its refreshing to see that there are some of us who truly are DB1 enthusiasts. we are the forgotten ones in the HonDA world.
here is mine
what do you all think??
i just lowered it on ground control’s… need to raise the front… and lower the back…
hey mang, you found the db1 thread.
I wish mine would work. I’m going to start and try removing the tranny tommorrow.
