nice work Leeo…

at least u could do something to your DA… stumped on my manifold swap… can you gimme an idea how much it will run for the refinish on my DA?

it cost me around $350 just for paint…all the labor was me so that i just had to convince a friend to paint it for me…All and all it should run you about $500 if you do the work yourself…My project ended up around there with crazy hookup and a set of 4dr door handles  …I will post up a whole review on that later…I’ll just let you know it was kindof tricky getting those damn things in there…See yea at the next meeting…By the way hey jimmy want to do a photoshoot sometime soon

wow dude! wat did u do to your car again? still looks the same :stuck_out_tongue:  haha j/k, dude it looks GREAT!!!, so did u repaint the hood again also? or just left it? great job dude, sorry u couldn’t attend the WCM, did u repaint the bump lights or is that still that coat i put on last time?

LEO!!!

simply B-EAU-TI-FUL…great work, congrats a lot of hard work but it paid off and it shows…

looks good. and you did it yourself? that’s a sweet deal.

nah i re-painted the whole car…It is a new color now , Obsidian Black Metallic off the 2002 Mercedes…During the day you can see the gold flakes and at night it just looks a deep black…It is truely a nice color but you guys will see it at the next meeting…
thanks tri , yes it was allot of hard work but in the end it was worth it…I still need to color sand it but after that is done it will be even shinner…

DAYYYYYAM!!! BlackSquad Represent!!!

are there any imperfections? cuz from the first clear coat pic it looks kinda bumpy … unlss thats how it looks after only one coat… i wouldnt know, i dont knwo much about painting.

Yeah man–bigups for the hard work. Looks great! I gotta repaint my fading black!

BlueG2–yea it does have some bumps in it but that is only because of dust in the air…After i color sand it there will not be any bumps at all though…

ThaJazz–thanks…

OMG honestly man that sh** was a **tch…I am not sure if i will be sanding the car myself if i ever have to paint the car…The only thing i wished i would have done was take off the moldings…I was going to weld the whole’s and then paint it but it was going to be another week or so but i could not stand to drive it looking like a taxi cab…

Looks very nice we did the same to my friends eclipse trunk lid, didn’t come out that good, we bondo’d his holes from the factory spoiler, looks good just not near as shiny as yours, any advice you could give.

don’t bondo the wholes…I welded all my holes up…It comes up much cleaner and this way you know there is not going to be any cracking going on…The only thing i can suggest really is just sand the hell out of it…I actually sanded soo much i only had like 2 layers of skin left on 2 of my fingers…I had to sand more because i removed the pin strips and then had to sand all the wholes for the back ( 5 holes from the wing and 4 holes for the emblems)…I would also suggest that if you are going with a dark color to get ALOT OF CLEAR…i actually put 6 coats of clear on the trunk and hood and 5 coats for the rest of the car , but i can tell you it was well worth it…I would also say to get the best paint you can afford because it will be worth it in the long run…I bought good paint and trust me it shows in the quality of the paint itself…As long as you do all the prep work they should not charge you that much to actually paint the car so that will save you more then half the costs right there…I started off with 320 ( note: only use 320 if your cars paint is really bad…If it is not that bad then just start off with 600 ) then went to 600 then 800 and then 1000…That should pretty much take care of any scratches that you will have on your car…
