The say whatever thread

Milk milk lemonade, around the corner fudge is made.

3 cars, in MD, full coverage on all of 'em, 120 bucks. 200/500 deductibles. cav is the primary, Z is for fun driving. maybe 2-3 times every couple weeks when weather permits.

1 20 year old Nissan sentra with close to 200k miles. Liability only (but a tier or 2 above the bare minimum offered by e-surance as NJ won’t allow them to sell that package here) runs me about $75/month.

I tried to lease a new '11 subaru Impreza (4 door, automatic)and got the dealer down to slightly below the going incentive price (someone ordered the car, then bailed on the dealer after the car was delivered). I could easily swing the payments but the insurance alone would have run me $250* or more a month. Now factor in the stupid high cost of living in this area and I’m getting dangerously close to needing a second job just to cover the cost of car that I can only put 12k miles a year on.

My current method of “buy a shit box and run it til it breaks” has been working pretty well. The plan now is to replace the current shitbox with another shitbox that has a/c before it gets hot here. I’ll then dump that shitbox in favor of something with awd when the winter comes (5th or 6th worst winter on record here in terms of snowfall and there are 25 days left!)

*Part of my insurance problem stems from the influx of assholes from Brooklyn moving to this area. Many of them never had cars or drivers licenses until they decided to move to the burbs at the tender age of 37 and up. After getting a license the first stop is to the dealership to buy the biggest SUV they can (or in some cases cant) afford. They can’t drive. It’s comedy. BONUS FUN FACT Apparently snow shoveling isn’t required in places like Ft. Green, Park Slope or Canarsie as many of my former Brooklynite neighbors don’t clear their sidewalks , as mandated by town law.

put your finger in the hole…out will come a tootsie roll!

Beans beans are good for your heart…

I just made a $1,200 payment on this ring. Almost paid off now. Thanks taxes.

Sucker.

this winter has been horrible. we’re almost 100 inches shy of what we normally get for snow. wtf!

went out to my db2 and saw that someone hit me in the parking lot. Now cant open my door without hitting the fender. Thank you idiot.

in the market for a job closer to home. But until then I’ll enjoy hanging out at starbucks and libraries. Telecommuting is fun.

took the db1 out for the first time since 2008. not the smoothest suspension. but it feels good driving the bitch around.

Jackass sold the headers out from under me. Oh well. Saves me a weekend with the motor pulled to install them. :stuck_out_tongue:

BIGLOTS is having a sell on energy drinks,0.75 for a tall can and a bucks for a 32oz.
