Think I need an ICU, where to get one

Hi,
I have a 1991 Intergra 3 dr LS, and the wipers don’t work on the intermittant setting. Everything else seems to work (defroster, warning chimes, door lights and such), but when I put the switch on the INT setting, they just sit there.

Searching the forum leads me to believe that I need either to fix my ICU, or replace it. I am not so good at such delicate work, so I am leaning towards replacing it.

Anyone know where I can get one? Or is there an exchange for them where someone fixes them? (I thought I saw mention of that.)

Thanks very much,
Mark

Junkyard…Pull apart

My local junkyard has no Integras. But thanks for the suggestion.

Any other thoughts?

just browse the parts forum and look for cars being parted out on here.:read:

I have one works perfect 25 shipped? My paypal is Mack_daddy_87@hotmail.com Lmk thanks.

I looked through junkyards when mine started acting up, and nearly all of them were in worse condition then the one I had. I mean they clearly had burnt traces and board damage. I replaced the capacitors and everything seems to work except the defrost. I need to ohm out the window and see if its not the lines on the glass them self.

Dar D.

I also have replaced the 220mf capacitor on the ICU board. Is your rear defrost light on? It must be on for the window grid to heat. Remember when checking the circuit that the 12V comes to the passenger side of the rear window. Good luck on checking out the circuit.
The idea of taking out the ICU again - makes me want to pray for you.

Is it hard to take out the ICU? I got the impression from my search that it is only a few bolts.

gonna try to ship it to you tommarow please leave feedback to me when you recieve.I will do the same thank you.

Ehh, its a bit of a pain especially if you have never done it before. I could get it in less then 20-30 minutes nowadays. Its behind the fuse block on the drivers side.

shipped it yesterday you should be getting soon. Please leave me feedback once you get I will do the same thank you.
