everything else goes smoot as butter… for a 14 year old car

and just to make sure i’m correct on this, the taller ones go in the front and the shorter in the rear correct? getting started at 10 oclock tomorrow morning and dont feel like takin shit apart to move springs around after all this.

if you look at the springs they have a number on them along with an R or an F, im pretty sure you can figure it out from there, and if not, i dont think you need to be doing it yourself

yeah, the one’s that are skinier and have more “loops” goes in the front, the fatter and less loops, goes on the back… :stuck_out_tongue: :read:

tight, i didn’t even see them.

NO FURTHER QUESTIONS YOUR HONOR

thanks alot guys, now its time to go to sleep. got some work to do tomorrow.

well springs are on, but i had a terrible experience today. started out REALLY SMOOTHLY, started in the right rear, went fine, left rear, fine. left front, perfect, right front, fucked axle.

the axle had slightly come apart and i couldn’t get it back together without removing the boot. after taking the rubber boot off the axle (boot closest to where the axle slides into the tranny) i put it back together, No problem, just a 20 minute set back right or so i thought. well then when i went to put everything back together, the f-ing nut was stripped and the threaded part of the axle that the nut screws onto was stripped pretty badly too.

well, i took a thread file and thought i had fixed it, but the nut wouldn’t screw on. got a new nut, wouldn’t screw on either, turns out i filed it unevenly and the only other option. BUY A NEW AXLE :frowning: it cost me 60 for an OEM axle, pissed me off cuz i had some $400 axles that i can’t get anymore cuz my hookup doesn’t work there anymore. so now i’m out 60 bucks for the axle.

getting it aligned tomorrow morning at 10:00 and i will try to have pics up by the end of the week. i didn’t get done til it was dark so i can’t take pics. i put my stock wheels back on too. the alignment is definately way off, its a hair harder to turn and depending what speed i’m traveling it pulls left, or it’ll pull right.

also, my car doesn’t sit rudely low at all, i can actually get two fingers in there (barely but i can get two) i went to burger king and only rubbed on one speed bump (its alot taller than most speed bumps in my town) and the only thing that rubbed was my front mudflaps. it looks pretty nice too, its not too low for my taste and even though its a little hard to turn at the time being, the ride quality is quite nice i must admit.

also had a broken spring in the right front, now that its been swapped out, all my suspension rattle problems are gone.

i’ll have pics up in a few days. i’ll start a new thread for it though. except for that terrible mishap, the whole project went rediculously smooth. alot easier than i thought it would. thanks alot for the help guys. i’m really happy with the results.
