This darn thing!

So my car is still hesitating/bogging/sputtering…compression around 160 for all cyl. Changed distributor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, O2 sensor, still when it warms up it runs bad. It won’t pick up until after 2500 rpm??? What is going on. I did jump the ecu plug to read the codes on the ecu, I got six short flashes. ECT sensor…right. I did this at work, so when I got home it was doing six quick flashes, pause then one long flash. Is that 61 or six and one? And I just put a new O2 sensor in??? This is so nuts. When I get in when it is cold it works great, as soon as it is warm goes for siht’. Anyone??? :vomit:

try putting your old o2 sensor back in.

If i’m not mistaken 6 short flashes , a pause and 1 long flash would be code 6 and 10… The long flashes represent 10…Not sure what those codes are don’t have my manual in front of me right now…hope that helps a bit…Also did you reset your ECU after you replaced your O2 sensor?

Try replacing the CTS under the distributor. If you want to do a make-shift test on the cheap, unplug the CTS and see if thre problem goes away. If it does, replace the coolant temp. sensor and then reset the ECU. You’ll be out maybe 15minof your time and maybe $10-$15.

Let me know if this helped any…

Check your timing, thats what my car did when I had 2 of the spark plug wires mixed.
