I was working on my friend’s civic, doing a rear disk brake conversion. When we were screwing two of the bolts in, they went in at a bad angle and the threads are stripped. The bad thing is, the threads are in the chassis itself, it’s where you can adjust your camber with washers part. How can we fix this? Where can we fix this? Is it fixable?
pretty sure u can fix it. just re-thread it. it might end up with bigger bolts though. just go to an auto shop and see what they say. i think i seen a drill bit tpye thing that u can use to re-thread things like that.
thanks for the tip. We got it rethreaded with a course thread pattern, since it was originally fine and got a course bolt and washer in. It holds nicely. thanks!
