my car makes a ticking noise (kind of like when you put a card in your bicycle spokes)… the noise increases with speed. It is coming from the front drivers side of the car - i’ve heard that it might be the speedometer cable??? this is just a hunch - can anyone shed some light? Thanks!
yeah, sounds like a speedo cable. I would take it off and see if it needs lube or replacing maybe. Taking the cluster out is kinda hard, I have heard that it is easiest if you disconnect the cable from the tranny first.

Sounds like the same problem i had, but the sounds stopped after installed my white gauges. i didnt do anything to special to the speedo cable, i just unplugged it and then plugged it back in when i put the cluster back on. Only now i have a different ticking noise:mad: … i thinks it my gauges…
