ticking sound, spoiler holes, signal lights, door light question

i just bought my frist g2 last week ^___^ im so excited!!!
its my frist car

iv noticed some problems already though. first off i want to say i know ALMOST NOTHING about cars HAHA i mean i know the basics but thats it LOL anyways i have a series of random question that i hope you guys can help me with.

  1. when i bought the car the owner took off the spoiler and didnt give me it. so now theres 5 holes i think? im just wondering would it be easyer to bondo it myself and paint it? or just take it to the shop and let them do it, and how much does this job normally run for at a shop?
    PROBLEM SOLVED

  2. i noticed that when i open the door the center light doesn’t turn on, i have to turn it on manually? does it normally do that? or is my light just retarted?
    PROBLEM SOLVED

  3. my signal light ( not the one at the bottom of the bumper, but the one thats connect to my headlights ) doesnt turn on, like when i signal and stuff it doesnt really do anything. is my bulbs burnt out or something?
    PROBLEM SOLVED

  4. OKAY THIS IS WHAT BOTHERS ME THE MOST THOUGH! there is this random ticking sound that i keep hearing, it sounds like its coming from my passenger side and its coming from the outside of the car. i did search for this question but none of the descriptions fit what i was hearing.

it doesnt make a sound when its in neutral it only starts to tick when i start driving. its really hard to explain, i dont think its my axles cause it doesnt make nosies when i turn and stuff. it only makes sounds when im driving.
it normally last like 3-4 sec then goes away for 6 sec then comes back, and it just repeats this as i drive -____- i cant STAND IT!

if someone could help me with these problems ill be eternally great full LOL

Since your pretty knew and all. All i got to say is search is your bestfriend!!!.

  1. There was a discussion on this for awhile now. Most people would recommend getting it done properly. It might not be cheap, but wont cause propblems later on in the future. Make sure they weld a sheet of metel over it.

  2. Open your door, look at your door jam. there should be a little piece that is black and it’s shape as an L. Try to push that in and out and see if the light turn on and off.

  3. It could be a wire problem. Check if the wires has been cut or damage at all.

problem 1 and 2 have been solved
but id still like to know how much a job like that runs for normally?

and problem 2, it seems like the L shape thingy doesnt come fully out when i open my door so the light doesnt turn on, is it spring loaded? can i replace the spring to fix it?

as of problem 4, it seems like it went away -_- LOL

still need help on problem 3 now, what wires do i check? in the back of the light?

#2 dome lite problem…you live near a wrecking yard/Pull-a-part? Most of these places have them still on the car. I think any Acura/Honda would do. Push the slider back and you’ll see a phillips head screw. Remove that and unplug the ground wire that feeds to the dome lite. Put it in your pocket with a couple extras and go fix your car.

sounds easy enough, i got this  ill tell you how it goes
thanks alot man

Nvm, the clicking sound is back -_-

  1. check your tire for a screw or nail stuck in it. or rocks. that happend to my car :expressionless:

OUCH :frowning: well i just went to go check, nothing… sounds like my fan is hitting my radiator or my axle is loss or something idk?

i took it to a shop today and they said it was my abs? he said it was burning and causeing that load ticking sound…does that sound about right? i thought abs was the anti brakeing thingy?

hmmmm… I think i know what they are talking about. The next time it happend, let it happned for a few more second and then open the hood and check if your abs is leaking. That happned to me before, but it was not as worse as yours.

It is your ABS

I had the same problem. Just unplug the ABS fuse. Your ABS light on your dash is gonna come ON, if it bothers you then just unplug the bulb.

why should he unplug the fuse? that to me dont sound very safe.

lol something is leaking on the passenger side under the engine bay? is that the abs?

I’m sure it is. just pop up the hood and check if your fluid is leaking out of the cap.

does your rear defroster work and does your intermittent wipers work? if they do then you prolly just have burnt out bulbs.

mine wernt working so i took the corner light out and changed the bulb and they work. you need 4 bulbs total.

to take em out there is a screw in the corner next to the front of the fender under the hood. remove that screw and then pull the corner towards the front. dont pry to the side or you will break the little plastic tabs.

the wires are kinda short so be careful.

hope this helps you out

yeah my wipers work, ill try this tomarrow, ill tell you how it goes man  and the top of my ABS fluid isnt leaking but when i look under the car its all greasy LOL
come to think of it, thats not really a good sign if somethings leaking LOL

WOW that was dumb -___- just need new bulbs LOL thanks
ticking sounds still there, but it comes and goes, so annoying LOL

my 91 does the same damn clicking thing and its freaking annoying there are no leaks in my lines or anything the only thing about my abs is that the cap seems loose… i mean it locks on and everything but i can rock it back and forth a good bit so i think i am going to try to get a new cap and see if it is better I will let you know if this stops my ticking …

WOW, you rock! thanks alot man  i guess ill just wait hahha

well i got a update i changed my abs cap and viola no more clicking or at least i havent had any since i changed it …
