first you need to get a tie rod tool to break the end free from the knuckle. jack up the car and support it on a stand. remove the wheel. you may need to spray the lock nut with WD-40. While the tie rod is still attached to the knuckle break the lock nut loose then run it back up against the tie rod end. This is very important, once this nut is loose the tie rod end will turn when you remove it from the knuckle. Be sure that when you screw the nut up against the end, it doesn’t move. This will affect your alignment. Now remove the end from the knuckle and unscrew the end and screw on the new end. Screw it up against the nut, place it back in the knuckle then tighten the nut back down and your done installing your new tie rod end.
If you’re throwing out the old tie rod end anyways, you don’t really need a special tool to remove it from the knuckle. You can just hammer on the end of the thread, as it doesn’t matter if it gets wrecked or not.
Also, a lot of tie rod ends are different lengths or shapes or whatever, so if it doesn’t match up EXACTLY with your old one, get an alignment after you’ve replaced the tie rod end, as your toe-in will be affected.
get the same one u have make it easy as possible
