Well the tittle says it im in the market for my new springs and I just cant seem to figure out what I should ge tthe tien h tech or the rs*r ones???
i recently bought a gsr after my gs was wrecked and i was planning on putting the tein’s on my DA, but the one i bought came w/ eibach’s so i’m too lazy to put the tein’s on and i’ll send em to you for 130 shipped…sound good?
what ones are they h.tec or s.tec?
you guys think its worth getting coilovers as apposed to springs and shocks?
Well, with the Tein H.Tech Springs, they are more for looks and a comfortable ride. And since the S.Tech springs are already softer than stock, these will be even softer. The RS*R springs are about 25% stiffer than stock tho. And I know a place you can get a good price on em for, http://www.turboimport.com. It pretty much matters on what you want. Do you want a softer ride than stock or something that’ll help your car handle a little better? They both drop your car just about the same, so its up to you. HTH

Well seing as I got tokoco bl;ues I want something that will hepl me not blow thoes pos out! lol No I want the ride to be about stock and not too rough but just a alittle lower seing as the previous owner put on some jobber springs that actually elevated rather than droped the frnt end so now I got like 3-4" clearence between my fender and tire
i have the s.tech. lemme know i don’t need them…
i had the rs*r springs way back then. very very nice springs. drop is just right, and the ride comfortability is nice too. not too harsh and not too soft. just right. heres a old picture of my car with them on 15".i wish i never got rid of them.
thank you mike I needed that! I got 15" gsr blades and I w wondering how they would look! Thats amazing seing as that drop is like a 3" drop to me in the front! I swear its like being in a frigin SUV! My dad and i tried to see the ## for the springs used but there generic shit from probably Canadiantire or some crap and by the looks of it there the wrogn damn spring and the macguyvered them in! I swear I have some reall gap issues!
Never mind the hub caps and all thats my winter tires and thats just the red compound I used to get all the winter crap off my hood in the spring! Anyways look at the damn front gamp compared to teh back!

What red compound is that and what does it do? I can never get my hood as clean as I’d like it to be so I’m trying to find stuff that will clean it up.

actually its not that low. it looks low cuz of the shadow and the camera distance. but overall its not that bad.
for the hood to get it as nice as I want and just pure white I basically use turtle wax the red rubbing compound, then the white(green top) polishing compound then the meguires clay bar and then the miguires finishig super polish wax! You will see alot of elbow greas and time and you will be verry happy!
just to give you a littel comparison of how well it works! (Note do not rub to hard or use too much it can take the paint right off if you use exesivly!)

ovrer all car after!:
hope that helps you out! and thanx again mike!
Hmm…I used some new stuff from Meguiar’s it was the Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner. Then I put 40 min into rubbing out my hood with Meguiar’s light cut mirror glaze polish. After that 20 min putting on Meguiar’s Hi-Tech Yellow Paste wax.
Here’s some shots:
NOTE Pics taken a few months before recent wax. It was surprisingly dirty when I took these pics lol.
The hood shines real well & feels clean but it still has some imperfections in the paint (due to acid rain & shit). I guess that’s what I can expect for a black car that’s 14 y/o though. Oh well, probably going to get a carbon fiber hood next year anyway.
try rubing the inperfections with the red turtle wax I mentioned! that rubbing compound will do wonders…but like I said use it sparingly and dotn rub too hard!
uh… Wasn’t this about springs? I could’ve swore that the s.tech spring rate was higher than stock, especially since then give a 1.5 inch drop. I’m looking for something with good performance because I have an old setup at the moment and I’m just replacing parts, springs first and then some koni yellows.
