time for a new clutch what to get ???

well im pretty sure my teg is down … when i was pulling into my street i have to stop and it made a god awful noise when i let off the clutch and was really hard to get it into 2nd anyways i know its the T.O bearing … im not looking to spend a whole lot but want a quality kit i dont have anything crazy just full exhaust intake maybe a stage 1 ?

ooo forgot to add my car has a b18b swap but im pretty sure its the 90 tranny soo i need a kit for that year right ?

found this one are they any good ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-STAGE-1-CLUTCH-KIT-12LBS-LITE-FLYWHEEL-90-91-INTEGRA-/150528364814?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1990|Model%3AIntegra&hash=item230c30910e

People seem to be split on the quality of F1 clutches… I’ve heard both good and bad. My personal experience with them isn’t very good, so I won’t recoment you buy them.

If you’re going to go with a cheaper/eBay brand product, XTD is the company id go with.

That being said, I would simply get an Exedy OEM replacement and call it a day. There’s no real need for a stage 1 setup, especially if you’re wanting to keep the price low.

Something such as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-CLUTCH-KIT-EXEDY-ACURA-INTEGRA-90-91-1-8L-B18-1-8-/250877768516?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1990|Model%3AIntegra&hash=item3a697af344

ok the exedy clutch kit what about the fly wheel >?

Get your OEM one re-surfaced? Cost is like $20.

Or buy a Fidanza/etc flywheel.

im all new to the import scene just wondering if a 12lb flywheel would help ?

i bought this exact kit with flywheel, and when i got it, one of the springs on the clutch disc was making a “loose” noise when I shook it. i returned everything and got an exedy oem kit and just resurfaced the flywheel. honestly, i wish i had a stage 1 kit, but the exedy stage 1 was too much money for me. as far as a lightweight flywheel goes, do some searching. some people love them, some don’t. good luck man

soo oem exedy is like 152 shipped or stage 1 for 173 ?

So pick one and go for it. You don’t need a stage 1, but it will still work.

Lightened flywheels are nice for throttle response… 12lb is a good weight. 7-9lb stuff is too light for the street imo.

well if i dont need the stage 1 then lets hope the other one will hold up

Exedy is the maker of the original clutch in our cars… so if the original clutch has lasted this long, a new one should hold up just fine

last question what tranny fluid do i need and how much cant find anything useful for da’s

Honda MTF.

Takes like 2qts i think? Id buy 3 in case. Doesnt hurt to have extra around.

Honda manual tranns fluid, or 10w30 motor oil, I don’t care what anybody say’s but DON’T use any of that 80-90w gear oil crap that’s not meant for our g2’s. And use 2 and a quarter of which ever fluids you use to fill the tranny.

3qts of honda mtf wonder if they have shifter bushing kit too

Shifter bushing:

I have this on both my Integras and love it.

ok ordered the exedy oem clutch and shifter bushing from amazon for 163 shipped got 3 qts of honda mtf for 23 now just gotta plan a day for my freind to come over and put it in
