Ok here is my problem, i put my new timing belt on, and everythign is set, BUT i cant find the marks to read off of for using the timing light. PLUS the stupid haynes manual doesnt give me any freakin info on how to do it…i know the general procedure…anyhow all help and comments are welcome. and maybe if anyone has like a online helms manual that would be sweet thanks
The marks are painted onto the crankshaft pulley. the white marks indicate top dead center. the red mark is the one you line the light up with. You need to let the engine warm up. Next pull the service check connector, located underneath the right hand side of the dash. Use a jumper wire to connect the Green/White and Brown terminals. Hook your timing light up. With the idle at 750 turn the distributor till the red line on the crank pulley lines up with the timing pointer. Also the car should be in neutral with all electrical items turned off. This information is from a Helms manual for a 93 Integra.
ok well on my pulley the marks have no paint? so what should i do ? thanks for the info

There are 3 marks. The 2 outer ones should be white and the middle one is the red one. You can slap some paint on there yourself or just try to do it by the notches (which will be pretty hard). It shouldnt take you more than a couple minutes to do it after you get some paint on there.
