How long does it take to replace the timing belt? I have all the tools and such. Is it a pain to do in our cramped engine compartment?
if you have all the tools and parts and know (enough) what you’re doing, you can get it done in a day…it’s always better to have some one help you…replace all your belts while you’re at it…might as well adjust the valves since the head is coming off…
make sure you get the timing belt from the dealer…I got a timing belt from a local parts store (Sebring West) and after I was done with it, VTEC wasn’t kicking. I asked a friend and he said that after market belts are slightly different (pitch between the teeth) from the OE belt. Plus, the OE belt was only a few bucks more…
