Belt Tensioner plus what you already listed. Also, It will be MUCH easier if you have a VERY powerful airgun to remove the crank pully. We had to go buy 625 ft. lbs gun because our other gun wasn’t gettin it done.
or u can just get one of those crank pulley tool, i did mine with that tool by hand and the car has like 300000km on it, maybe i am just lucky
the big impact is nice for spindle nuts that wont giveup eather… we had to get a “earthquake” or whatever the one harbor freight sells… its made by cambell hausfield tho so i guess it cant be that bad
depending on your local acura dealerships prices… u might do better buying online… localy it would cost me over $100 more after tax and all than ordering online after shipping
Does anyone know where i can get a kit for my timing belt and water pump
Acura wants this for the following price (can$)
timing Belt 110.55
Water Pump 153.16
belt tensioner 77.42
alternator belt 35.05
Power setring belt 24.92
ac belt 35.06
total 436.16
I just found this online

Do you guys think that this is good?
id only get a gatorback or acura timing belt (gatorback costs more than acura)
as for the regular belts… get good autoparts store ones… or if u can find gatorbacks even better
call acuraautomotiveparts.org and get a price on the stuff u want shipped… i dunno how much canada shipping would be but im sure they could give u a better deal than ur local
They can`t ship to Canada
look for a gatorback timing belt
Is gotorback made by goodyear ?
I can’t find nothing on the net for my GSR
Are goodyear timing belts good? They are 40 $ cheaper then Acura’s timing belt?
yea… goodyear belts are good
Last time I checked, the belt from Acura IS the Goodyear Gatorback. But that was a few years ago… maybe they have a diff supplier now…
even more reason to promote gatorback… even if they dont use it anymore… using it at one point ment its good
btw dude dont forget to change the cam seals
I bought this kit. Its quality but I’m gonna do mine every 50k or so.

id say every 4 years of 50k miles… age is what killed the old one in my car not milage
I just did this last week…Timing belt and water pump each cost me less than $40 each at an Advance Auto. However, if you plan on doing the oil pump, those prices aren’t as nice. Apparently they switched part numbers mid 1993 model, and it can only be bought from the dealer, where I had to pay $180.
The work isn’t that difficult though. It took 3 days for 2 of us to pull the motor, replace the parts plus the clutch and pressure plate, and get the motor back in and running. To get the crank pulley bolt off, we welded a breaker bar to my old pressure plate and mounted it back up to the flywheel to resist the turning. One tip though, don’t loose the little key for the pully like I did.
The 96 or newer GSR/ITR oil pumps are $92, and the lower cover is $32 from dealer.
can you put a itr in a b18a1 block?
also whats the spec diffrences from a regular b18a pump?
Many guys building an LSVTEC use a 96 or newer gsr/itr pump with the newer lower timing cover. The oil pump continues to build pressure in the higher rpms.
Now, you can use your same LS spec timing belt with the gsr oil pump, but if you use a gsr water pump, you will have to use a gsr timing belt. The water pump is the deciding factor on which belt to use. Hope this helps.
