Wanting to do some of the old age maintenance like water pump and timing belt. Im not to experienced in that department so i rather pay someone to do it. Any one recommend shops here in South Fl like anywhere from Broward to Miami and how much should i expect to pay on a job for both and/or individually?
It is a $700.00 job to do the timing belt and water pump. You should also replace the front main oil seal, tensioner and cam seals. The cost is high because of the parts and labor rates. It is really not that big of a job if you have the right tools. The hardest part is removing and installing the bolt on the main crank. Moroso sells a tool that makes it a lot easier to remove and install.
I don’t know of any good shops in Broward or Miami / Dade. I do all the maintenance on my cars except the A/C. And to answer your question they should be done at the same time. Not cost effective to do one now and the other later!

Getting mine done tomorrow at a Honda dealership. The quoted price is exactly what you stated. I’ll be sure that they’re also dealing with the seal, etc. Thanks a lot for the very timely info!
is this your only vehicle? if not get the how-to from team-integra and do it over a weekend. every time i’ve had someone do it i havent had another vehicle so i’ve never been able to try to do it myself.

yeah man unfortunately it’s my daily, and work and school leave no time to do this over a weekend so im going to have to pay :tsk: but oh well it’s worth it.
