tinted tails what you think?

brakes on

what ya think?

Have fun getting pulled over and possibly getting rear ended during the daytime.

i dont think ill get pulled over for having panty hoes over my lights XD

just kinda wanted to change something on my tails, until i get some 90-91 tails

:umno:

Panty Hose is ghetto.

I’ve got 2 coats of Night Shades tint spray on my ‘summer’ tails and turns, looks perfect imo.

He is in California where covering the tail lights with anything is illegal. Especially the reverse lights.

It may be fine where you are but that doesn’t mean it is fine every where else.

if a cop pulls me over and wants to give me a fix it im sure if i just asked him to cut off the panty hoes on my tail lights it would give him a good laugh XD

I’m pretty sure it’s legal in most states/provinces if it’s too dark.

but why panty hose… lmfao

I’ve heard of the panty hose “tint”, it looks a bit too dark. I’m also wondering if it takes away from the plastic shine of the lights. Won’t it get dirty easily? I like the Night Shades glossy shine personally. Do what you like it’s your car lilvietboy.

ehh its alright just kinda want it too look a bit different for awhile maybe keep it on for a week and like cut it off i like tinted tails in black cars. i think the black gives it a nice look but im not too sure how cops we feel about it but where i am i shouldn’t be to worried about it cause there usually busy doing other things

now since its raining its gonna get shitty haha, i saw it on a g3 integra forum the panty hoe tint XD.

whats cool about it is that it tints it hella but it doesnt affect the light output at all.

The laws in WA are such that as long as your lights (corner, brake, reverse, signal) are easily visible from 1000 feet in day or night, you are fine. Easy to get away with some gangster tint here

I even seen a black CRX that someone had completely spray painted flat black including the lights wheels etc… I’m positive he couldn’t drive at night at all. It looked ugly as fuck but whatever…

I’m diggin’ the Nightshades. Got any pics on the car?

I did mine transparent red w/ a clearcoat on top. Put stickers over the reverse lights. Check it:

This is before I wetsanded & buffed 'em. Damn they were nice! I didn’t wax them often enough though, so they started fading. I’m gonna get 'em professionally done candy red when I get her painted.

:getsome::manual:

Figure that out!

hey man lemme check the red out lights on your car hopefully its red

cause i was thinking about doing that instead of ghetto fab panty hoes. XD it was kinda a joke cause my friend has this n00b passat and is like oh dood ima night shade my tails black out (his car is like a faded blue looks like purple) so i did it to piss him off

No pics on the car. As I said, they are my ‘summer’ tails lol.

I’d say no to tails because of the obvious danger of being rear ended, followed by it’s fucking played out. I can definitely understand a very minor tint to them up JUST a hint, but when someone paints them all blacked out it’s ugly. I was driving behind someone one day who thought it’d be a great idea to black out his whole tail light and leave a little O in the corner. The only way to tell if this asswipe stopped was to look at that little circle. Lets say you do get rear ended. Chances are you won’t win that case because you are basically driving around with illegal lights. Blacked out tails is starting to be rice!

Edit* props for the poster a couple up for doing it the right way with nite shades!

Is Night Shades a spray can system or is it an actual gravity spray gun paint?

Like I mentioned earlier, I’ll have my painter candy red my tails when get the teg resprayed. I was also thinking of lightly smoking the sidemarkers & bumper lights as well, & possibly the headlights. The car will be dark charcoal gray, so smoking the lights a bit should look pretty killer, IMHO.

BTW- If Night Shades is a gun type system, then do they also make transparent red, or orange?

not sure about florida but in tennessee if you get rear ended, the person that hits you is at fault no matter what. my friend ran into the back of someone who had those black covers on the taillights to where you could not see them hit the brakes and he had to pay for the damage to the vehicle. If you rearend someone you are at fault because you were “following too closley.” Even if the car you run in to does not have taillights you are still at fault because you were not at an adequate distance behind the car in front of you… 95% of the time the person who gets rear ended always wins.
