To all DB2 owners....with pictures

Well ive had my DA since 2003, it has gone through many transformations, but it is now time to let it go. I was actually going to send my DA to the body shop to get the rust taken out, and re-painted, but then i came across a 92 gsr. I was lucky enough to find this in really good condition, for an awesome price, which i could not let it pass me by. So here is the question, if you guys had the OEM kit, would you put it on your gsr? and would you also get rid of your front bumper for the 90-91 front with the OEM kit. Im stuck and dont know what to do. I like the 92-93 front bumper with a lip, but if i were to put the kit on the GSR, i feel that i kind of have to put the 90-91 front bumper to complete the kit.

Are those the titanium ebay lights on the the DB2? Those lights look alright compared to JDM.

I can take more pics of the DA cuz its insured, but not of the db2 because I haven’t even transferred the title over. Yes those are the eBay headlights. And another question, do u guys think I should paint the molding black in the db2?

Nice DA and Db2. Dont paint the moldings black, paint the grill on the bumper black. I think the white grill looks horrendous imo.

Dont paint the moldings black, Id would keep it all factory, but id paint the front grill black, add a JDP front lip, lower it a tad more… maybe some new rims with a semi aggressive offset… but more power to you if you like those rims that are on the car now… Nice find and good luck with her…

Black molding looks way better IMO…all white just looks like someone was too lazy to mask it off, maybe a black line within the white molding would give it some character. Just too much white to me. But if that is how it came painted from the factory then leave it. Paint the grill for sure though. I think your 91 looks way more sexy personally…

90-91 bumpers on the db2 with the oem kit is what I would do in a heartbeat. To me that would be the perfect db2. I was seriously thinking about flying to pa just to pick your DA up and then I looked at your for sale thread and was pissed lol

Like every other fellow member said to paint that white grill back to oem black is a very good idea cause it’s not supposed to be white, and if you keep it the car the way it sits right now it will make the whole car look cheesy just because of that. And as far as the moldings all Rs, & Ls integras came with(un-painted) black moldings from the factory except for the 92-93 GSR which came color matched painted, not in the formal black as stated like in the other models. The more original you keep it or restore it the way better it will look and you’ll get lots of props from your peeps. It will look nice also if you switched out the jdm headlights from your other integra over as well as the wheels but of-course that’s my opinion on that one.

Thanks guys, stuff like the Jdm lights and the cf hood that is all going to the db2. Here is another thing that I’d like your input on. Currently my DA has Jdm 1.8 gsr, and I’m using a type r trans. In the future I plan on using this set up in the db2(I just want to drive it as is for abit…which is basically stock) I’ve read in a lot of forums how great the b17 is. However I just think that the 1.8 gsr is the way to go boost overall. What are your thoughts on my current dilemma? I would like to do some road course with the turbo set up, but mostly drag

Honestly, the b17 is a great rare motor but boosting and tuning wise I think using the 1.8 gsr would give you a bit more benefits. But I could be wrong. Hope this helped even the slightest bit lol.

Next month I’m going to the body shop to take care of some minor rust, and then I will have to make the tough decision as to which way to go, because I’ve asked some of my friends for input, but they are not into Gen2 tegs like we are, which is why I posted this so I can get some better ideas. So far we’ve had a lot of input on the body but what about the engine? I’m leanin heavily on the 1.8gsr for boost, but a small part of my says to use the b17.

I say go back to the way the db2 originally came. White moldings and the black grill. The db2’s and the LS Special’s were the only models that came with painted moldings from the factory. All other models had the black moldings.

I let me 92 GS go in 2003 and regreted it every day since then. I recently found it again on CL up for sale by the guy I sold it to. He wanted more money for it than what I sold it to him for in '03. I really considered getting it back but I stumbled across this deal on a Aztec Green db2 that I couldnt walk away from. I have the db2now but I just wish it was white like my 92 GS.

I feel like the b17 should be kept stock and clean enough to eat off of. You just don’t see that anymore…ever. Not around here at least.
