To anyone who works at a mechanic shop, esp. Acura or Honda.....

How do you flush an automatic transmission?
:baby:

I am not a mechanic but do know that the easiest way is to take it up to most auto repair places and they should have a machine to suck out all the fluuid and put new stuff back in, it is very important that you flush out the torque convertor. Most places will drain the oil out and then replace it with new stuff, but that is not the right way, several quarts are left in the convertor and will mix in with the new fluid contaminating that as well. Call a few places and get prices.

ya they have like a 4000$ machine that precisely sucks out the old while sending in the new w/o mixing a drop. should cost around 60 or so.

you can do a few regular changes, but that sux.

or i was told you can just let it all spew out of the lower hose that runs to the radiator, but then i was also told the tranny has valves and that wouldnt be best
