That is the question.
Want to add a Type R lip to my car but I’m not sure if I should match it or not.
All my moldings are paint matched to the car. However I’m worried it’ll be too much and the black lip will set it off plus match my wheels.
Car is Miliano Red with black 5 spoke rims.
Lip comes in unfinished black i assume.
Ride around with it black for a while. Bad streets and driveways will beat that lip quickly if you are lowered. Mine eventually flew off on the freeway. If your streets are abusive, the black will hide scuffs and cracks better.
Looking at my two red tegs side by side, one with paint matched lip, one with black… I like the red more - it flows better, it’s cleaner…
the black looks good if you have a two tone thing going on, like black mouldings / hood / lip / rim or rim lip… if it’s all black and red it looks good (if clean) but if it’s all red it looks just that much better… IMO…
