My indiglo’s have been dead for sometime now. Part of the black box that all the wires run to somehow melted. Anyways, does anybody know what’s in that box? I was thinking of maybe splicing the gauge wires directly into a 12v lead.
your asking for trouble if you splice directly to a 12v source. the “black box” is actually a power inverter that regulates the amount of power going to the guages. go to www.autodynamic.com, you can get a new one from there.
If you aren’t hella picky about your indiglos you can also follow the teg tips and just change all the bulbs in the housing to blue. I did this with the stock black face gauges and it made a world of difference gives it a nice blue glo. If I had white gauges it would look bitchin.

You see, I would do that, but my interior lights don’t work at all. I bought the car like that. The owner before said it happened after he got his alarmed installed, but didn’t really say anything about it.
Believe me, I would totally do that trick if everything was working. Thanks though
what ever you do son’t hook up the lights to 12v because the black box is a converter and is would just ruin the gauges if they aren’t already ruined. If you dome light doesn’t work check your fuses and if thats not it then go to the doors and chcke the pin switches for rust cause that is a very comon problem aswell those 2 things should help you firgure out whats wrong. Of that still does not work then the guy who put your alarm in messed it up and then i would take it to your installer to check it. Hope that helps you out.
I might have a quick fix for ur interior light not working. Its usually the dimmer switch. Either that is bad or 1 of hte wire has been accidentally cut when they spliced the alarm for the flashing lights.
Definitely do not hook up straight 12v…the converter is there so u dont melt the gauges =)
