Tokico Blues

i did a search but didn’t find anything good.
i have eibach sportlines on my sedan and the stock shocks are about gone. i know the best i can do is buy koni yellows but i don’t have that kind of money right now. i’m thinking of buying the tokico blues cause they are alot cheaper, the question is will the tokicos work with the sportline springs or is the sportlines to low of a drop? please help me out here.

You should try to search again. I remember seeing threads on here about tokico blues, and people were saying the lowest drop you can have with them is 1.5"

I got 2 inches + on my tokico blues. Any reasons for not going past “1.5”?

That’s just what people had said, I think the warrany is void if you go below 1.5", and most people thought they were too weak to go lower than that. Most people also thought the ride was too bouncy with the blues.

Just do a search for tokico and blue, and you will come up a bunch of threads that mention them.

I’m using blues with me Neuspeed race and they bounce like a bitch. I think the drop is comparable, but the Sportline rates are much lower so they may work better for your application.

Either way, you need new shocks, and these will work.

yup, 1.5 inch…thats all i could come up with…anything lower will void the warranty. but then again, who really uses the warranty that comes with products.

what i’m asking is if the application would work, like someone said, either way i need shocks. the sportlines are 1.8 inch right? so with a .3 inch more then the 1.5 suggested, it should be okay right?

I guess it depends on how you want to ride quality to be. You can’t go wrong with koni yellows, but who wants to spend over $500 on struts. Some people have said kyb gr2’s will work, but I had emailed kyb when I was replacing my springs, and they said the max drop for the gr2’s is 1". I got the neuspeed sofSports, I still think my ride is bouncy with only a .75" drop. It sounds like some people have had good experiences with drops bigger than 1.5" using the blues, but most seem to think the ride is bouncy like that.

i have tokico blues with a 3 inch dropon coilovers and its ok but it does get kinda bouncy a times. look at my lnk and you can see how low i went .

they will work but eventually like your stock shocks, they WILL blow out, best to wait till u can get the Koni’s. but if u can’t i HIGHLY suggest u turn in the warranty card coz you’re going to need it…
BTW i had a progress springs with shitkico blues b4 i got my Tein HAs.
