Tokico Blues?

I have Tokico blues on a 2’’ drop, the previous owner had this setup. The front struts are blown right now but I can’t comment on how long this setup has been like this.

I have Tokico blues on a 2’’ drop, the previous owner had this setup. The front struts are blown right now but I can’t comment on how long this setup has been like this except from my experience. I’ve owned the car for over a year and have been riding on them blown since they don’t seem to really have any huge side effects just a bouncy ride from time to time.

cool man- yea i live over by eola/ogden and i work at ginos east off of washington!

Tokico Blues and Eibach Sportlines (1.5"/1.8") (and other suspension goodies) for coming up on a year now, or about 15,000 miles. And I with how I drive, I use this suspension to the fullest, and no problems thus far. They get my vote.

I will agree I’m running a setup that puts the blues close to/at their limit, but everything has been fine. I’ll let you know if something happens though

what about you b62, do you wish you wouldve went with illuminas?

As of this far, no. I’m happy with the blues performance, and was happy with the deal I got on them  If they happen to blow out soon, then yes, I’m sure I’ll wish I have gone with something else.

I forgot to add that my friend has 93 Civic hatch and had coilovers on it (bought the car like that). Installed blues shortly after. It was lowered about 2.5" or 3", and the pass. side rear blue, blew out after maybe two months? But the other three were ok, and he put another blue in, and it’s fine. We think it was just defective.

Also, my friend has a 96 240sx and has had the blues on for over two years now, and while I don’t remember what springs he has, I know it’s lowered around 2", and hes been fine. Yah, it’s not a Honda, but I’m just saying…

Good thread… my new Integra has Tokico Blues and Neuspeed springs, dropped about 1.5 or 2 and it runs fine. I think this setup has been in place for about 3 years or so, no idea for sure how long previous owner had this config.

New guy question: what are some of the most common indicators of blown shocks? I will be on the lookout… hell they may be blown right now and I would’nt know necessarily

blown shocks-

car may sag more (least my stock shocks caused it too when they went)

press on a corner in the rear (somewhere where you wont dent the car) and push up and down on the car -you can do this for the front too by pressing down on the upper shock mount under the hood- if you get alot of bouncing and travel then your shocks are spent- if the car is stiff and recovers quickly then your good to go

just driving the car should take more time to settle after bumps if the shocks are blown

Thanks.
