Tokico Illuminas leaking oil!!

freak!
one of my shocks is leaking oil. it’s the Left Rear one. I can hear this funny ‘thud thud’ sound everytime I hit a slight bump.
I’ve had these shocks for 15 months now, bought it with Ground Controls. do i need to buy a whole set again or can i just change this one? how much do you think it’ll cost me?

thanks for your input.

I’m almost positive that INLINE FOUR sells them individually…it’ll be about $100.

Vernon

are the illuminas’ not garutneed(sp) for life?? if so couldn’t you just take the dead one back to a place that sells them and get a new one?

i have the same shcoks and they come with a life time warr. so if u have the reciept then u can take them back to were u got them and get another one or call tokico and they will tell what to do to replace it.

lifetime warranty? that’s great!

but, i moved to a different city now.
can i still take it to a different shop that sells tokico?
show them the receipt, and hope that they will replace it?

thanks guys.

well…if the shop you take it to dosen’t take them back just contact Tokico directly

don’t see why the shop shouldn’t
friend of mine bought a set used from some guy in the US (he’s in Canada) and took them back to a place in Canada and got a new one for free.

isnt there a flaw if you use coilovers with shocks that negates the warrantee? just thought there was cuz i thought i heard something like that with the kono yellows… im glad i got koni’s heard nothing bad like leaking shocks from ppl with yellows
