Im planning on turboing my 1990 teg soon. I was going to remove all the emssions stuff when I installed my turbo but I decided to do it now so that if a problem arises, I will have one less problem during installation. Everything came off easy enough (Purge/Evap, SAV, Dashpot) and all the vacuum lines were capped, but there is still a hole on the intake manifold where the starter air valve used to be. Its not a vacuum port just a small hole, maybe 5/16". Anybody know how to cap this?
JB Weld?
Can you find a small piece of aluminum plate, cut it down to size and drill holes where the bolts sit. then just use some kind of gasket material to seal it up and bolt it up.
Is there a thread or write up on removing that emission stuff? If you do remove it will you not pass emissions now?
