Took steering wheel off, horn stays on now

I was hoping someone could help me out on this. I haven’t been able to drive my car in over a week due to me pulling the fuse for the horn and the brake lights being tied to it:sad:.

Took the steering wheel off to replace the ignition cover, when I went to put the steering wheel back on the horn came on and stayed on. In a panic to get it to shut off I quickly unplugged the battery and later pulled the fuse. I connected the battery again, but the horn stays on when the fuse is put back in.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

I have no idea where to even start. I appreciate any help thanks.

Anyone?

The horn wire is shorted to ground. Probibly got pinched when you tightened the 19mm nut that holds the steering wheel on. Pull the wheel off again and look for pinched wires.

So took the steering wheel off again, checked all the wires. Everything seems ok. One thing I did notice was the horns stay on even with the steering wheel off of the steering column.

Does anyone know if our cars have a horn relay or any other suggestion? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Figured it out, one of the relays was stuck sending power to the horns.
